Food Sensitivity

Food sensitivity is an abnormal immune reaction to certain foods, with symptoms generally limited to the intestine (“the gut”). This distinguishes it from food “allergy”, which may cause a multitude of body responses including severe, life threatening, allergic reactions (anaphylaxis).

 

 

 

As part of our series of Intestinal iQ™ wellness tests, FLUIDS iQ® offers Total IgG Food Panels for both 24 and 88 foods. Both panels are able to highlight to what extent those foods are involved in the development of gut inflammation. Test results help to determine the possible source of enzyme deficiencies and whether they are coming from the stomach, pancreas and/or biliary system. Together with the tests for gut permeability (Zonulin) and inflammation (DAO/Histamine), these food panels create a clearer picture of gut function that helps in determining treatment options.
